The TEXA RC3 is a universal device designed for accurate measurement of engine RPM and temperature in both petrol and diesel engines. Additionally, RC3 functions as an EOBD scan tool, allowing for engine control unit diagnostics.
RC3 can acquire data in three different ways:
Using an induction clamp with piezoelectric sensors
Using a microphone with the residual battery signal
Directly from the OBD socket (on vehicles with the necessary protocol)
When connected to the OBD socket, RC3 can directly read engine RPM and temperature using the EOBD protocol, eliminating the need to open the bonnet.
RC3 can also be used as a scan tool; connected to the EOBD socket, it can read parameters defined by this standard in accordance with new emission control procedures.
